During this 8-week pre-apprenticeship I was briefly educated on the operation and maintenance of CNC machines. The focus of this was to design and hand- make miniature derby cars so that we could race them against the derby cars made by pre-apprentices from other companies. During those 8 weeks I learned a lot such as: attention to detail, time management, technical skills, but most importantly I was made aware of my greatest weakness, soft skills.
