Taking care of the ailing elders of society at the comfort of their own homes. This entails looking after them 24/7(Live- in) and being away from home for weeks. Sometimes some customers just need 6-12 hour daily care. This work entails cookoing, light house-cleaning, bathing customers, making sure they taking their medications, doctors visits, and just giving them good companionship.

As Technician and Senior Technician, I was involved with the installation and maintenance of customers Telephone lines, data circuits and EPABXs
As an instructor, I was involved in the development and delivery of courses in the Subscriber Equipment Section at TTC – This involves all telephone equipments and PABX’s.
As a Service Engineer, I am a Team Leader and I managed teams in my section of up to 30 odd subordinates.
As a leader I manage my staff, all the functions and roles of my section and also I have my own budget to manage and control.
With Waitlist and New Lines, I was in charge of providing telephone services from the Waitlisted customers in Central division but was tasked to look at the National Target of 1000/month lines, we achieved from 2000 -2002 – With 15 employees (Central only) and a fleet of only 6 vehicles.
With SAC (Service Assignment Center) – I Looked after the internal plant Data base – where we were responsible to reconcile
The ICMS Data and the Actual data that is on the switches. Apart from the Data Integrity – We also were tasked to do Fiol programming on customers Services – Where we pioneered the introduction Automation (Programming) Through the introduction of mediation devices
I acted as the Manager of the Service Assignment Center’s position while he was away on business trip Travelling overseas.
As TL-Access Technologies (Team Leader) with Methods and Practices Section – Access Strategic Business Unit (SBU)
My responsibilities ranges from : Looking after all Access Network Technologies – Developments, Upgrades, Research, Phasing out, Staff Training; Developing & Delivering courses, This also encompasses looking at all Technologies available to Access to facilitate our customer needs from Cable, Fiber, Switch boxes, alternative solutions such as wireless(CDMA VTSET) and associated test equipments.
Achievements
1. I have completed Structured cabling and LAN related works (on Contractual basis) for certain TFL Sections to avoid extra costs incurred – our best example was the Access Network SBU Building located in Walu Bay, Fiji. This was a great cost savings to the company and demonstrated my abilities in cost management, project development, and leadership role during this assignment.
2. In my term as Service Engineer Waitlist and New Lines between 2000 and 2002, my group managed to achieve the targeted 1000 lines per month, which the company was not able to achieve in the previous ten years.
This was under my supervision with previous poor performing employees. This was a great challenge and assisted in my developing troubled employees into high achieving employees. This is one of my leadership examples during my supervision assignments within Fiji Telecom

3. In 2005 – 2006 as Service Engineer-SAC(SE-SAC) & SE-CDMA – With a dedicated team of 5 staff we were able to program more than 10,000 CDMA units for customers nationwide. CDMA in Fiji was introduced in 1999. From 1999 to 2005 Telecom Fiji Lmtd. had only managed to connect approximately 5000 customers. This was one example of one of my best achievements while at Telecom Fiji Lmtd.
