RESEARCH EXPERIENCE & DISSERTATION
Postgraduate Dissertation — Calcutta University
“Antioxidant Activity and Species Variability of Mangrove Leaves in The Sundarbans, India” Planned and executed an end-to-end research study, collecting and analyzing leaf samples from seven mangrove species across four months (March–June) to assess spatial and seasonal variation. Applied the DPPH radical scavenging assay and quantitative analysis to measure concentration-dependent antioxidant activity, identifying three species (A. ilicifolius, S. apetala, H. fomes) with over 75% scavenging efficiency. Tracked seasonal performance trends (peaks in S. apetala in April, B. gymnorrhiza in June) and documented data-driven conclusions on the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical potential of the samples. Compiled findings into a formal, structured report — strengthening skills in data organization, statistical interpretation, and technical reporting.
DATA & ANALYTICAL SKILLS APPLIED
Used R Programming to clean, organize, and statistically analyze research datasets, generating charts and summaries to support conclusions.
Applied MATLAB for quantitative computation and modeling of experimental data. Maintained accurate records and structured datasets in Microsoft Excel for review and reporting. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
