PROFILE

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with 20+ years of experience, who has worked in a variety of settings ranging from home health, hospitals, long-term care, outpatient pediatric rehabilitation, private practice, and the school setting. I bring a unique skill set to the table to assist with treating medically-complex patients including assessing and treating swallowing disorders. Working in home health over the last two years was an amazing opportunity to assess, personalize care, and educate the family all within the confines of a patient’s home. Additionally, evidence-based practice has been my guiding principal to treating those who are living with aphasia, dysarthria, verbal apraxia, voice, and cognitive-communication disorders. My recent position also provided me an opportunity to strengthen skills as an educator, case manager, collaborator with therapists/nursing/physicians, and knowledge in documentation and billing. I am a hard- working clinician who strives to meet the needs of her patients and families. I feel listening and working together is of utmost importance to achieving best outcomes. In my spare time, I enjoy photography and exploring the Smoky mountains out my back door. EDUCATION:
