Semi-Automatic Screw-Locking Station with Computer Vision Capstone Project 2026
• Designed and validated a Cartesian X-Y-Z PCB screw-locking station using ball screws, linear guideways, hybrid stepper drives, and pneumatic actuation; performed dimensional-chain, load, cylinder-force, and compression-spring calculations.
• Integrated ESP32-S3 + Raspberry Pi 5 control and YOLOv8 + ViT vision; prototype testing over 40 PCB cycles achieved RMS positioning error < 0.1 mm, approximately 21.5 s/PCB, and 99.21% overall classification accuracy.
