Officially invited to film and document the November 2017 All Africa Rastafari Gathering in Shashamane, Ethiopia, and shoot individual interviews with research participants. The All-Africa Rastafari Gathering was the first continental African Rastafari conference with delegates from all over Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, North America, and South America. We were the only documentation team invited to document the conference proceedings.
Filmed the 2017 Rastafari Symposium in Ghana and individual interviews with research participants. The two-hour Rastafari Symposium is an annual event featuring a keynote and panel discussions on several topics and themes.
Filmed the 2017 Center for Reparations Launch at the University of the West Indies – Mona campus in Jamaica. Given clearance to film the proceedings of the launch of the first center for reparations research in the Caribbean.
Filmed the 2017 Rastafari Reggae Rootz Festival in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and individual interviews with participants.
This project is in post-production with over 500 hours of film and will result in a feature-length documentary film
