I demonstrated my leadership skills by bringing our school back from the brink of closing due to a $120,000 deficit using an aggressive and strategic plan to raise monies owed and to put us back in the black. I held monthly meetings with the finance committee to go over the budget and present a report of upcoming fund raisers that would get us back into the black. We are currently in the black this year and we will remain there due to my aggressive plan for fundraising. We are a private school and receive no monies from the state or federal governments.

Responsible for recruiting and dismissal of staff at the school. I have led the training of the current staff, leading them into 21st century lesson delivery skills that will enhance their classroom presentations for their students. I would hold monthly staff recognitions highlighting staff members for their job performance and professionalism.

Responsible for the safety and security of staff and students at the school, beginning with a comprehensive school safety plan which is reviewed annually to ensure that it is not only current but has the latest information on safety protocols. I meet monthly with local police and fire departments to discuss current safety protocols and to come up with improvements to our school safety plan. I conduct various safety drills once a month to improve safety protocols and to improve our response time to our safety alert signal.
