– Directly operated and controlled physical industrial robots, successfully deploying tasks such as Conveyor Tracking.
– Assisted in hardware deployment for projects: executed wiring and integrated various sensors with robot controllers. HIGHLIGHTED PROJECTS
Graduation Thesis: Mixed-Case Palletizing Algorithm on Industrial Robots 01/2026 – 07/2026
– Project Overview: Developed an automated robotic system to recognize, classify, and place boxes of various sizes onto pallets using a Yaskawa GP7 robot.
– Palletizing Algorithm: Developed a 3D bin packing algorithm combining heuristic methods and Reinforcement Learning (PPO) to calculate optimal box placement.
– Vision System: Integrated 2 RGB-D cameras, utilizing OpenCV and YOLOv8 to extract coordinates and dimensions of boxes on a dynamic conveyor, while processing point clouds to monitor pallet status.
– Motion Planning: Built a control system on ROS2, using MoveIt2 (with OMPL, FCL) for dynamic trajectory planning and obstacle avoidance, and tested the workflow in Gazebo simulation.
– System Integration: Established synchronous communication and control between the central computer and robot hardware via the microROS-motoROS2 protocol.
– Sim-to-Real Deployment: Built and evaluated the entire system in a simulated environment (Gazebo) before successfully deploying it on the physical Yaskawa GP7 industrial robot.
– Video Demo: Watch system operation process Å
Robotics Project: 5-DOF Robotic Arm for Product Sorting 08/2025 – 12/2025
– Project Overview: Researched and manufactured a 5-DOF robotic arm system for product recognition and sorting based on ROS2.
– Mechanical Design: Designed the mechanical structure of the robotic arm using SolidWorks.
– Hardware Deployment: Used STM32 microcontroller as the central controller, integrated and operated Mitsubishi Servo, Stepper motors, and harmonic drives.
– Vision System: Developed a webcam-based vision system applying image processing algorithms to sort blocks by color, and trained a YOLOv8 model to classify product types.
– Control (ROS2): Managed control nodes and simulation in Gazebo, developed a hardware interface to establish stable UART communication between the central PC and the STM32 microcontroller.
