Throughout my career, my most proud moments have been focused on patient care. Whether it’s been through managing difficult cases using my excellent problem-solving skills, advanced assessment skills and interpersonal skills.
While working in the community, I’ve gained a passion for advocating for patients in the home setting. Communication is extremely important. I am excellent at patient education, meeting the patient’s level of understanding. Thus, achieving higher health outcomes.
Within my current workspace, I also assist with precepting new nurses. My in-depth experience with hospital bedside and home health lends to directing new hires to grasp understanding and function independently with OASIS and new AI charting systems.
At the bedside, I am adept at physical assessments, wound care management, administering medications and monitoring patients on the health continuum. I’m proficient in performing diagnostic procedures and managing venous access lines. I am also accustomed to utilizing cutting-edge electronic medical records and software.
I work well independently while providing a caring atmosphere for the patient and the family. I have a lot of integrity and a strong work ethic.
I’m comfortable communicating with physicians, ARNP’s and other providers to help evaluate patient histories as part of a collaborative team approach.
