Senior-most Human Resources leader for a Chicago-based, multi-company and geographically distributed enterprise. • Lead enterprise HR strategy and operations, advising executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, talent requirements, culture, employee relations, compliance, and organizational change.

• Direct talent acquisition strategy across multiple business units, partnering with leaders on hiring forecasts, workforce requirements, candidate selection, recruiting priorities, and talent pipelines.

• Lead HR coordination with in-house and external employment counsel on high-risk matters, including EEOC claims, workplace investigations, employee complaints, union grievances, compliance concerns, and organizational actions, balancing legal risk with practical business and employee considerations.

• Own policy governance and development, including policies, SOPs, workflows, templates, manager guidance, and employee documentation; maintain audit-ready HR practices through disciplined data governance, documentation standards, controls, and reporting.

• Advise leadership on organizational structure, workforce requirements, succession, retention, performance, and organizational effectiveness; oversee performance-management processes and leadership talent discussions.
