My recovery journey began on February23rd, 2024, when I made the decision to seek help and build a new life. After completing treatment, I chose to continue in a structured environment to build a strong foundation. Through my own experience in treatment and sober living, I developed a passion for supporting others. While in recovery, I took on peer leadership roles, welcoming new residents supporting daily structure, encouraging residents through challenges, helping with recovery meetings and classes, communicating with counselors and staff, and assisting in de-escalating conflicts. These experiences strengthened my leadership, compassion and ability to support others while maintaining boundaries and structure. I’m currently pursuing my LCDC education at Dallas College, with a goal of continuing to serve the recovery community by creating safe, supportive environments where people can rebuild their lives.
