OBJECTIVE: Fully credentialed Speech and Language Pathologist in California serving speech and language delayed students with evaluation and treatment seeking a position commensurate with my training and experience.
EDUCATION: The College of Education of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, is recognized internationally for educational progress. My education at Wayne State University and training in grades K-12 in the Detroit Public Schools have been the basis for my effectiveness as a Speech & Language Pathologist in the public schools of California. I earned the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential in the Department of Education, Counseling, and Policy Studies at Sacramento State University. I received progressive training in supervision and evaluation, which has enhanced my ability to analyze issues involving the identification and treatment of handicapped students, and to provide professional support to my colleagues on the IEP Team. The field study that I conducted (1990) for the administrative credential was a teacher-based longitudinal study of the California Test of Basic Skills with the goal of developing the awareness and commitment of the teacher to finding appropriate intervention when the evidence indicates student academic failure.
