I am applying for a position as a Mental Health Associate Counselor. I am currently licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern (CPC) with the State of Nevada and I ‘m also a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor, a Mental Health Counselor, a School Counselor and Early Childhood Specialist by the State of Nevada.
I worked for one year as a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern and I am a third of a way through my internship. Working on Mindfulness Practices with students was something I did regularly. I already have a Primary and Secondary Supervisor that I have been working with. I have also counseled others using the Telehealth method.
Most of my career has been working with young children and their families. I have done crisis counseling, behavior plan for students, written 504 plans, and facilitated counseling for individuals and groups.
My degrees include a Masters in Counseling Educational Psychology, a Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies, and a Associates in Child Development. I am also licensed as a K-2nd Grade Teacher, School and Mental Health Counselor, and as a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor. Having had the opportunity to work with children and families for many years I have gained invaluable life experiences working with high- risk populations. I am a highly motivated individual and would like to start a new career as a Clinical Professional Counselor.
I would prefer to work part-time to start, but I’m not oppose to working full time if that was needed.
