COMFORT CARE HOSPICE – Pelham, AL (June 2008-August 2013)
• Administrative Assistant: Responsible for all daily administrative activities for my hospice team which served over 60 patients (total hospice census of 140+). Duties included reviewing and inputting all daily visit reports from all team members (Nurse, Aide, Social Worker, Chaplain, Bereavement Director and Volunteer Coordinator); filing onto patient charts all documentation from each team member and keeping patient charts updated; faxed all physician orders and tracked receipt of signed copies before they were filed on the patient charts; prepared paperwork for weekly IDG (Inter-Disciplinary Group) meetings and followed up to ensure that all paperwork was completed properly and copies were mailed to appropriate physicians. I assisted the Admissions Coordinator as needed, which included entering all new patients’ personal information into the computer database; also responsible for updating this database when necessary as this information was later used for billing purpose. I was also responsible for ordering all office supplies.
• Accounts Payable: Responsible for reviewing and verifying all payables invoices; processed check requests; made sure that all payables were paid on time; maintained all A/P files.
• Human Resources: Responsible for maintaining and updating all personnel files, including when licenses were due, when 90-day and annual reviews were to be done; conducted new employee orientation.
ASERACARE HOSPICE – Birmingham, AL (January-September 2006)
• Business Office Specialist: Responsible for all Business Office activities, including accounts payable, nursing home billing, Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance reimbursement. Also maintained all personnel files and processed payroll using the AS400 computer system.

• Volunteer: Answered multi-line phone system; composed correspondence; kept volunteer and bereavement files updated; assisted Medical Records Department in maintaining accuracy of patient files. Also worked with nursing home patients and their families, as well as home patients.
TSF SPORTSWEAR – Ft. Lauderdale, FL (June 2000-February 2005)
• Customer Service Manager/Sales Division: Handled extensive customer service matters (including complaints, product defects, returns, etc.) and phone/internet sales for this wholesale sportswear distributor.
• Office Manager/Sales Division: Supervised the office where all custom-printed orders were processed; responsible for accuracy of orders, proofreading, etc. Also responsible for proofreading and accuracy of annual catalog and various sales flyers.
DELL CORPORATION Ft. Lauderdale, FL (May 1989-April 2000)
• Office Manager: Responsible for Accounts Payavble, including processing of incoming invoices, verifying their accuracy, printing checks and mailing them on a timely basis. Also assisted in posting Accounts Receivables in the computer, making out deposit slips and taking them to the bank.
• Sales/Marketing Assistant: Responsible for administrative sales activities for this electric heater manufacturer, from the quotation stage (detailed mathematical formulas involved) to engineering/submittal preparation, to processing of actual orders. Implemented computerized order entry system.
