EXPERIENCE & PROJECTS

Design Intern – Print & Embroidery Development Suketdhir Dec 2025 – Apr 2026

●Led a dual-focus graduation project spanning narrative print storytelling (“Royal Within,” a Mughal miniature-inspired menswear concept) and the reimagining of traditional Lucknawi Chikankari motifs into a contemporary embroidery language.

●Hand-mapped and documented 6+ traditional Chikankari stitch techniques (murri, phanda, jaali, bakhiya, rahet, banarsi) against original hand-drawn motifs, translating each into production-ready stitch diagrams for the artisan team.

●Developed embroidered placement designs for a menswear shirt line, working daily alongside artisans to convert digital illustrations into finished samples that matched the brand’s high-finish aesthetic; outputs were carried through to a full product photoshoot.

Summer Intern Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) 2025

●Completed a 2-month internship gaining hands-on exposure to retail operations, brand merchandising, and fashion communication within a fast-paced multi-brand retail environment.

●Collaborated cross-functionally with merchandising and customer engagement teams, building practical understanding of how design decisions translate to retail floor execution.

Print Design Project – Hemp Hoppers National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Sep – Nov 2025

●Designed a 6-print narrative collection (“Katha-Kala”) inspired by the Panchatantra, developing motifs, placement repeats, and colourways in Adobe Illustrator and Pointcarre, from initial sketch through to CAD-ready repeat files.

●Conducted trend and colour-forecasting research (referencing WGSN seasonal reports) to ground the collection in a current palette and print direction before development.

●Focused on sustainable, nature-inspired surface design and eco-conscious print techniques to minimize environmental impact, in line with Hemp Hoppers’ sustainability positioning.

●Carried finished prints through to a product photoshoot on woven shirting, validating the designs on actual garments.

Craft Research Documentation Badami, Karnataka Jun – Aug 2025

●Documented traditional Khanna and Ilkal saree craftsmanship through field visits and direct artisan interviews, recording motifs, colour schemes, and layout structures.

●Compiled visual and written documentation of construction techniques, building a reference archive of regional weaving traditions.

Handloom Weave Project – “Taarang” (Tussar & Eri Silk Stoles) Independent / Academic Project 2025

●Designed a 4-stole handloom collection combining Tussar and Eri silk, developing full warp and weft colour formulas, motif placement, and repeat structures for each piece.

●Translated dobby-weave motif concepts (Suryamukhi and Kedige Balli–inspired) into detailed loom-ready construction sheets specifying yarn counts, colour sequencing, and pallu/border treatment.

●Directed a product photoshoot to validate drape, hand-feel, and colour behaviour of the finished woven stoles.

Freelance Face Painting Artist Self-employed 2023 – Present

●Collaborated with brands including Lenskart and Zomaland by Zomato, alongside multiple event planners, for birthdays, festivals, and cultural events.

●Managed client interaction, live art execution, and creative stall operations independently across concurrent events.
