The Capitation system (aka Well Cap) pays a capitated amount to professional medical providers, ancillary providers, and institutions on a Per Member Per Month basis (PMPM) or % of Premium basis. The amount paid is calculated based on the negotiated base rate which is further adjusted based on the member's age, sex, and specific employer group benefits. The Cap system can support member adjustments (backdated enrolments, terminations, provider changes etc.) up to 24 months. In addition, the Cap system can support provider contract adjustments that impact provider payments up to 24 months.

Capitation payment information is sent to FCS for payment delivery. Payments can be made by check or electronically and accompanied by a detailed or summary payment report. The Cap system provides multiple reports to primary providers such as adjustments, activity, and prospective reports. Most providers access capitation provider reports via Availity. The Cap system also provides reports to the Vendor Management team for ancillary providers. In addition, the Cap system sends detailed Capitation payment information to Edward and FIRST (Actuarial and Rating system).

As a Tech lead holding the responsibility to ensure that the Capitation system is stable and mainframe Batch execution is smooth and efficient to ensure the successful delivery of the payment files to business without breaching SLAs.

CRM – Customer relationship management:

The objective of the CRM is to maintain a healthy relationship with customers by identifying and delivering their needs such that it can be profitable for both the parties. It enables the business to manage the sales process across multiple customer communication channels, from creation and distribution of sales leads to working of opportunities. SAMS contact and connect are integral parts of CRM.

SAMS Contact provides the functionality to deploy marketing, sales, and service customer contact strategy and to facilitate measurement of resultant activities. The bank users have used CMS Contact Management system to create, manage and execute sales campaigns and deliver the leads thru various delivery channels such as Power dealer, branch CCO lists and Internet Banking etc. CMS collects uses the data from SAMS databases which are in turn is collected from CDU or other external agencies sources periodically.

SAMS Connect, a browser-based Customer Profile System, workstation application that runs under the Browser Access Program (BAP) architecture. It involves hundreds of customer profile screens (hosted by Mainframes) to be used by users such as Relationship manager and other bank staff.

Customer Data Management (CDM): CDM (CDU) is a central repository for bank customer’s information. The customer information includes the demographics such as customer name, contact details, contact preferences, and thousands of the data elements that are captured on various account opening platforms and customer and staff channels. It interfaces with around 256 bank applications such as SAMS, RPS, WHIRL, Lipan, etc. which will use customer and product information thru access routines and Services built on COBOL and DB2. The updates on customer and product records are also notified/Streamd to the downstream systems thru change notification process in real time and batch using CICS and DB2 triggers.

Card Management and Decision System (CMDS): Receives the data from various systems such as Base 24, TRPR, and RPS and load the data into FOCUS data base. Used for generating the reports out of FOCUS on ATM transactions and ATM availability etc.
