As Chief Engineer, supervision of maintenance and operation of marine power plants consisting of Diesel power plants(up to 100 MW), auxiliary steam plant consisting of Bunker “C” fired steam generators ( up to 1000m2- equivalent to a stationery second class plant), steam turbines, turbo generators, steam turbine driven crude oil pumps, evaporators and fresh water generators, Reverse Osmosis and ion exchange water treatment system, sewage treatment system, various auxiliary systems consisting of numerous pumps and pressure piping, cargo handling hydraulic cranes, air conditioning and refrigeration system, electronic (centralised as well as DCS) and pneumatic control systems.

Trouble shooting of plant operational problems. Identify and implement process changes/ machinery modifications to enhance operability, maintainability and economy of operations.

Maintenance planning and administration of CMMS systems.
