PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
TRUCK PROCUREMENT
The WCA VP of Fleet & Procurement quit. His style was opposite of his predecessor. Completely hands off. When it came to the complicated task of adding trucks to the fleet, the new VP picked them out. The rest was up to me. Zero guidance was provided; no comprehensive document or process existed. No problem. Persistence, patience and relentless attention to detail paid off. I taught myself how to procure a truck in the world of waste. It is to date my most challenging and rewarding piece of work. I outlined the entire process.
