To whom it may concern

Itis with great pleasure that have been asked by Ethel to furnish her with a reference letter for the

time she worked with us at Folk Café in Bree St Cape Town. It was an absolute pleasure working with

Ethel and we are still in touch. The honest truth is that without Ethel the restaurant would never have

opened on its first day! Ethel, as she does, stepped in and took the reigns when the appointed chef

failed to turn up for work.

This was not the last time that Ethel showed her enthusiasm for meeting a challenge head on. She

moved from the kitchen to the front of house and became skilled in all areas of the operation in the 4.5

years that she worked for me. Ethel is a true gem, the kind of employee any business would be lucky to

have. Ethel is always willing and she is a fast learner, she is positive in her approach and she was an

asset in our business.

Saying goodbye to Ethel when she chose to move back to Zimbabwe was very difficult and can

confidently say that if she were ever to return looking for employment would hire her back without

hesitation.
