As a former employee and consultant for ADP and Bear Stearns, I supported the Lehman Brothers conversion to the ADP software package owned by Bear Stearns. As a night shift technical support person, I was responsible for fixing JCL errors and abends, and monitoring the batch system in CA-7. During the day, I supported the conversion, scheduled the ADP/Bear Stearns batch flow, and setup NDM connections to Bear Stearns who was providing the back-office brokerage processing for Lehman Brothers as their first account using the ADP software. The dates of employment with Bell Atlantic and Lehman Brothers overlap because I was working for Lehman Brothers at night and also working for Bell Atlantic during the day in 1996.

Using Rexx and ISPF panels, automated the process of keeping Bear Stearns up to date with ADP software changes by setting up NDM connections and PDX promotions for ADP to send Bear Stearns updates to the software programs, batch jobs, PROCS, JCL, and OPC/A changes to keep them in sync. Automated the process of collecting the files with changes, triggering the batch job utilities to move the changes into the Bear Stearns environment, and sending back to ADP the confirmation of change upon successful completion by using Rexx and ISPF panels.
