Contracted by Laland Baptiste to manage on site activities at Stony Brook University through Gilbane Building Company. Oversaw the rehabilitation and modernization of the mechanical and fire suppression systems for the 50-year-old Chemistry building.
Directed the installation and testing of two new 110,000 CFM Air Handling Units and associated piping systems. Responsibilities included the review of installation and testing of the Fire Protection system; the review of the installation and testing of the Building Management System (BMS).
A.G. Consulting Engineering, P.C., MEP & Fire Suppression Superintendent 12/20-04/25 Pilgrim State Psychiatric Center, Brentwood, NY
Contracted by A.G. Consulting and working under auspices of the New York State OGS (Office of General Services). Renovations to New York State Psychiatric center. Oversaw the upgrade of existing ventilation systems, plumbing systems and fire suppression systems, including testing of the new systems. Oversaw the MEPF work for the renovation at several nurses’ stations in the patient resident building, Work included monitoring of the installation and testing of emergency generators on site and at various satellite facilities. Work included the construction of a Department of Transportation, office space, with emergency sleeping quarters and a roadway salt storage shed. Employed by CSM and contracted to Jacobs Engineering Group to manage the on-site activities of the MEPF contractors. This contract was for the construction of several new residence complexes, a dining hall and the complete renovation of the Student Union/Administration facility. Oversight was for the installation and testing of the Domestic Water, Comfort Heating and Cooling, Sanitary Systems, Fire Suppression and Electrica/Low Voltage systems. Work included installation and testing of underground utilities.

Employed by WPA, and contracted to Jacobs Engineering Group to manage the on-site activities of the MEPF contractors for the build-out of a new 750 bed residence facility at Stony Brook University. This project included a full service 800 seat dining hall within the residence facility. My primary function was the oversight of the installation of the Mechanical, Electrical/Low Voltage, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Site Utility systems. Duties included schedule, financial/change order management, pay applications, and the review of RFI’s and Submittals for processing. Regular QA/QC oversight included monitoring the pressure testing of piping, witnessing of the commissioning and start-up of systems. KS Engineers, P.C., Construction Manager / Inspector 04/15-06/16 Coney Island Waste Water Treatment Plant, Brooklyn, NY Contracted to Hazen and Sawyer for the oversight of the Mechanical and Plumbing contractors performing emergency maintenance projects for the City of New York DEP. Projects included the replacement of a waste gas flare system, including burner equipment & piping; the replacement of various pumps and piping systems; repair/replacement of pavement for parking facilities; removal and replacement of 2000 feet of 12” diameter sludge piping; replacement of emergency hydraulic system which will operate influent channel valves in the event of a power failure.
