AT AGLANCE
My name is Jeremiah. I am passionate about technology, a passion that sparked as a child growing up witnessing and trying to participate in the technological boom of the 80s and 90s. My curiosity for the way things work and how to fix them when broken has motivated me through my education and allowed me to excel in my professional career. After college I embarked on a journey with a startup technology company as their first technician. I was challenged daily with the opportunity to interact with new individuals, both customers and peer leaders. Troubleshooting unique technology solutions, often without manuals or guidance, became my specialty. I left that position to pursue a new challenge, but not without earning a reputation among many as a master in the trade. In 2014, I joined the Internal Audit Department at State Farm. This position took me outside of my comfort zone. I was accustomed to life on the road wearing a hard hat and work boots rather than business casual attire. I adapted very quickly to my new surroundings while earning the trust and confidence of my leadership and co workers. Within one year, I was trusted with leading audit engagements and mentoring new teammates. In my six years as an IT Auditor, I have been promoted to the highest analyst level job class and been challenged with some of the most innovative and challenging engagements that our department has embarked on, delivering on the goals every time. In 2023 I embarked on the most difficult journey of my life. I realized I had a drinking problem and needed help. I am blessed today to be clean and sober. A new calling has been guiding my next career choice in the direction of helping people.
