Developed Perl script that would upload previous month’s text files to the hard drive and delete it from the File Transfer process directory. The program would add these text files to a zip file, which would be downloaded to the file transfer process directory. Files would then be deleted from the hard drive.
Developed Perl script to download daily, weekly or monthly reports from the Local Area Network (LAN) to the hard drive. Script would then rename the report to include the date, and then add it to the zip file (that also included the date). The zip file would be password protected. Script would e-mail the zip file to the respected personnel.
Developed Perl script that included SQL “select” statement that would retrieve data between two dates. The data would be inserted into an excel spreadsheet. The script would format and sort the data by a certain date.
Developed and/or modified Perl/DOS scripts for the following interface; DOS, NIV, CLAIMS, I901 US_VISIT and ADIs. Many of the modifications or enhancements dealt with new business theories.
Modified all Perl scripts for the interfaces when Homeland Security went from File Transfer Process to Secure File Transfer Process. To accomplish this feat, a third party software (Chilkat) was used along with Perl.
Modified all Perl scripts to give the user options to run the scripts for certain dates or to create certain reports. The user would then have to enter the date or keyword after entering in the program name.
Facilitated and scribed monthly interface meetings.
