EMPLOYMENT: Tantasqua Regional School Department February -March 2026 Grades Prek-12 Servicing three schools with evaluations, therapy and IEP meetings.
Killingly School Department October 2025-December 2025 Grades Prek-12, Servicing private school and a high school for a full caseload with speech-language evaluations and therapy. Attended PPT meetings and updated and wrote IEPs for newly qualified students. Contract position ended with hiring of permanent therapist.
Bristol/Warren School Department February 2025 – June 2025 Grades K-5. Servicing two schools for a full caseload of evaluations and therapy. Conducted meetings with parents to write student individual education plans using Aspen, billed Medicaid, and renewed and stopped therapy as needed and as students met IEP goals and became competent communicators.
Children’s Friend and Service October 2023 - September 2024 Evaluated and joined in multidisciplinary teams to determine if children just born up to age 35 months old were eligible for early intervention services. Worked with daycares and families in the Central Falls area to help best navigate the world of special education and encourage their child to be a curious, social and happy communicator.
Looking Upwards Early Intervention August 2022 - October 2023 Determined eligibility with coworkers for babies up to age 3 for a developmental delay. Delivered services based on a coaching approach to caregivers using modeling, visuals, hand-outs and explaining evidence-based approaches to help the children in their care reach their full potential.
Providence School Department September 2003 – September 2021 Engaged in small groups, individually, virtually, and in person for speech and language therapy. Tested individual students for speech/language concerns. Knowledge of English Language Learners (ELLs) and Spanish was very useful with my families and students. Experience with students ages 3-13 with moderate to severe needs such as autism, hemiplegia, and Down Syndrome.
Pawtucket School System September 1999 – June 2003
Provided evaluation and therapeutic intervention provided for students in an urban elementary school with over 750+ culturally and linguistically diverse
children. Differential diagnosis between language difference versus disorder became a main area of interest and learning.
Mansfield School System October 1995 – June 1999
Conducted small group and individual speech-language therapy for preschool-aged children to grade 5 with a lot of parental involvement. Aided children with: dyspraxia, articulation/language disorders, cerebral palsy, a stroke, CAP, and autism.
