Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for managing plant, engineering equipments, utilities, spares and consumables. Monitor following utilities for smooth and effective function: Plumbing, Pipeline, Ventilation, Air conditioning, Carpentry, Sewage treatment, Water treatment etc. Preparing of preventive maintenance plan for equipment, spare parts and consumables for the department on a daily basis.
Design ways to conserve L.H.P and water, undertake measures to reduce waste and fuel consumption. Devise and monitor machine-efficiency and equipment performance at regular intervals. Ensure maintenance schedule is adhered to all engineering and utilities at the unit. Monitors break down and plan maintenance to optimize machine uptime. Review performance of AMC off loaded to vendors.
Identify and initiate interventions for cost control. Develop, implement and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures. Arrange training in safety, repair, and maintenance. Ensure all maintenance and repairs completed on a timely, cost effective basis and according to specifications.
Arrange meetings with vendors and suppliers in order to discuss products used in repair work. Follow company policies and procedure and effectively communicate them to subordinates. Ensure all fire and safety inspections are in placed. If any discrepancies comply. Create a safe environment for guests and associates by ensuring that the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards.
