As a Facilitator for the Foodshare Employment training program duties are teaching the Unlock Your Potential (UP) workshop and being
the proctor of the state TABE test for employment placement.
In this role my vast teaching and work-related experiences is used to
engage the participants in the workshop. Years of working as a teacher and program supervisor gave me the knowledge and ability to
get class members to engage in the curriculum that I am teaching and presenting. Through the Power point presentation, it is my
responsibility to teach all areas of the employment process. From assessing yourself to resume and cover letter development, interview
skills, techniques and strategies to improve their knowledge and confidence in the process.
Facilitators in the Foodshare Employment training program work directly with, case manager, community resource navigators, Job
developers and trainers to help these individuals find and gain long-term employment in the current workforce.
This included
knowledge and training within CWW, and DRC web-based data logging and participant pin commenting throughout one's placement in
the Foodshare Employment training program.
