Hello, my name is Susanne Walker. I graduated from Loma Linda University in September 2025 and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiac. I passed my Adult Echo board exam on March 31st, 2026. I also have a current BLS certificate. As a student at LLU I obtained over 1,500 hands on training hours combined in Echocardiography ( M-Mode, LVOT, PW and CW Doppler, Color Doppler, diastolic function measurements, ejection fraction, just to name a few) at Loma Linda Medical Center as well as Jerry Lee Pettis VA hospital. I am a hard working and caring individual and would love to work for you or volunteer for you so that I can grow as a sonographer and provide the best possible exams for patients.

Student Cardiac Sonographer

Loma Linda University Medical Center and University of Loma Linda Loma Linda, CA September 2024 to September 2025

Scanned and observed a total of 550 inpatients and outpatients from September 2024 through September 2025. Received 1,500+ clinical hours ( 8 hours a day/ Monday -Friday) in echocardiography. I was trained on the Philips Epiq cardiac ultrasound machine. I have Definity contrast and saline bubble study knowledge. Familiar with the Epic PACs system. I know how to apply electrode leads for echocardiograms and obtain blood pressure. I am familiar with the pre- cleaning of TEE probes before sterilization as well as set up for TEE’s. I have observed dobutamine and treadmill stress echocardiograms. I am comfortable with ICU patients, patients in isolation, emergency department, post- and pre op, as well as OneLegacy patients.

Protocols I have scanned included PLAX, PSAX, Apicals (5, 4, 3,2), subcostals ( IVC and abdominal aorta), left and right kidney and suprasternal notch ( aortic arch and descending aorta), color Doppler, Simpson, 2D, as well as EF%, diastolic function, tissue Doppler, LVOT, RVOT, RVIT,M-Mode.
