I support classroom teachers by assisting with instruction and clerical tasks. In the classroom, work with students who need additional instruction, preparing materials and equipment for activities, and discussing students' progress with their teacher.
I work with a licensed teacher to accomplish classroom objectives. Often, i supervise instructional activities to help students understand lessons. To accomplish this, I work with small groups of students or with one student at a time. I take attendance or record grades. Additionally, i may confer with teachers on student performance, and I may oversee students outside of the classroom during field trips and related activities.
I try to understand the nature of children, the uniqueness of every child, and endeavour to show patience and care when working with them.
