EXPERIENCE
SEPTEMBER 21, 2024 – PRESENT (40 Hours/week)
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, TEXHOMA LAND CONSULTANTS
I am one of 3 Probate Administrative Assistants in the Curative Department. In my position I basically work on my own, but I take care of six teams. Three teams are located in West Virginia and the other three teams are located in Fort Worth and Oklahoma. The researchers on the teams send me the information that is needed to request a check and to order the estates then I create a Land Portal number and input all the information that was sent. Once I receive the check, I mail out the paperwork along with the check to the appropriate courthouse and then I wait to receive the documents. When the documents are received, I scan and upload them into Land Portal, then I input some of the information into Land Portal under its assigned number so everyone can see it.
MARCH 21, 2022 – MARCH 27, 2026 (36 Hours/week)
UNIT SECRETARY, WVU MEDICINE
I currently work three days a week at Fairmont Medical Center. I complete admitting information, transfer information and the discharge information into EPIC, disassemble the patient’s records once discharged, communicate information to the House Supervisor, receives the information from the House Supervisor on what bed a patient will be transferred to, communicate to the other departments, such as housekeeping to let them know when a room has been discharged or to dietary when someone needs a meal. I also answer the phones, transfer the call to the patient’s room or to the nurse in charge of a specific patient. I also answer the call phone when the patients have an issue in their room or need help, then I notify the correct PCT, LPN or Nurse that they are needed. I also run blood samples down to the lab and log them on the log sheet. When not busy with my everyday duties, I will take inventory of the beds on the floor, the furniture in the rooms and the equipment on the floor.
On May 11, 2023, I completed my Clinical Medical Assistant program at West Virginia Junior College (WVJC) and graduated with an associate degree as a Clinical Medical Assistant. On May 12, 2023, I successfully completed the requirements set forth by the National Health career Association and passed my exam to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.
FEBRUARY 2007 – MARCH 2024 (40 Hours/week)
OFFICE MANAGER, valley distributing co of fairmont
In my current position, I handle everyday business in the office. I answer phones, respond to emails, filing, handle accounts payable and receivable, quarterly promotions, yearly price increases, daily and monthly inventory, wait on customers and print necessary signage. I interact daily with store managers, bar workers, restaurant employees and walk-in customers whether it is for an order or a problem with their invoice.
I use a variety of software packages in my daily work. When working on getting the orders that have been sent over from the salesmen to the office, I use dBev which is a Route Accounting System. When we close out our sales at the end of the day, I continue to use dBev. I also use many Microsoft packages daily such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
When Valley Distributing Co of Fairmont was trying to get the selling rights to Yuengling I was asked by my boss to research numbers and space availability for the product placement, then I worked on the presentation and the books to be handed out at the meeting. While working on this I used Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint extensively.
When I first started in February 2007, I was just the office assistant who answered the phones, took orders, and worked on closing out the sales every day. I was made Office Manager in 2014 and now I oversee the daily business in the office by making sure we have coverage, that the driver’s Tough Pads and the salesmen’s iPad are maintained. I also cover the office when the assistant is not there for the day. I often worked with Microsoft packages, and I still do.
JULY 1996 – DECEMBER 1999 (40 Hours/week)
COMPUTER ASSISTANT, GS-9, FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION
As a Computer Assistant, I was a part of a group who monitored the various monitors in the Data Center and watched for systems going down or problems that may cause outages. At times, I would fill in as the Acting Supervisor and when I did, I would need to work up a work schedule for the month and place personnel in various locations. I would also have to do monthly reports for the Supervisor so that she knew what had happened on the shift. I used Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in my daily work.
FEBRUARY 1992 – JULY 1996 (40 Hours/week)
SECRETARY, GS-7, FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION
As the Unit Chief Secretary, I answered the phones, typed correspondences, attended meeting, and took minutes, maintained the files, and filled in for other secretaries as needed and maintained files on the current employees under the Unit Chief’s Unit. I used Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint daily.
When the Criminal Justice Information Systems Division Data Center moved from Washington, DC to Clarksburg, West Virginia I was part of the team since the Unit Chief oversaw the Data Center. As part of the move, I maintained the timeline, recorded any problems that occurred, kept track of personnel, and attended daily meetings with the Unit Chief to give updates on the move. Other groups under us would give me their daily updates to include in the master timeline and I was able to make note of problems and how they were resolved and who resolved it.
