Mechanical Project Manager / General Superintendent with over thirty years of mechanical trades experience, including heavy commercial ductwork, BAS controls, VRF, and rooftop package equipment. As General Superintendent I serve as the senior field leader responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all mechanical construction activities across multiple largescale commercial projects. In this role, I am ultimately responsible for the safety, quality and compliance of the entire project scope for the Projects that are in the course of construction. Budget oversight, schedule and critical path development, milestone development, and schedule creation are all part of the job description for this role. I also bring a very experienced eye to Risk-mitigation for any most projects by having a very good understanding of the plumbing and electrical scopes of work. BIM participation, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office are some of the ERP systems I am proficient with and use almost daily. I am also responsible for KPI’s for field functions regarding SAFETY, QUALITY, PRODUCTION, AND WORK IN PLACE.

Manage and mentor superintendents, foremen, lead installers, and field technicians.

Enforce company safety culture and ensure 100% compliance with OSHA and site-specific requirements.

Conduct regular onsite visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support field leadership teams.

Strong scheduling practices and efficiency with a few different scheduling methods.

January 2017 – January 2020 - Van Hudson (supervisor)

Coordinated all statewide projects from Greenville to Charleston, overseeing a workforce of more than 100 duct mechanics and installers. Responsible for safety, quality, technical and design issue resolution, weekly onsite project support, and highlevel planning and time management. This role had many challenges daily. The key responsibilities were risk mitigation, safety, and quality. Acted as the last QA/QC before project turnover and heavily involved in the stakeholder portion of the projects.Time management, solid efficient planning and heavy communication were the keys to success for this position. Acted as the first and last POC for the field in my state answering to the Vice President and Operations manager over the field. Heavy Superintendent developmemt, and quality SOP development were also part of the daily, weekly, and strategic functions of this role.

United Technologies / Automated Logic

2010 – 2015 Automation Energy Manager

In this role I had the opportunity to manage energy costs for big and small box retailers on a national scale. Full BAS integration and commissioning for all Walgreens, Abercrombie and Target stores west of the Mississippi river. I am a certified Air distribution consultant, and an expert in chilled water distribution and controls. Heavy control integration into existing mall based HVAC equipment, customer development, and heavy design protocol were the daily functions along with scheduling and commissioning the BAS control system and remotely when applicable.

1992 - 2009 Operations Manager / Chief Estimator / Sales

I began my career with this company and worked here up until the owners death in 2009. I began as a installer helper, and worked my way through the different departments from the sheet metal shop, service tech, service manager, and finally to managing the day to day operation of the business the first 6 years of my employment here. Strategic planning, budget reporting and development, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction were the KPI’s we concentrated on along with budget milestones. In this role I reported to the owner of the business, handled all commercial estimation, bid development, and most project management lifecycles except project closeout which the owner handled personally. Employee development, and acquisition, career development, and all aspects of the day to day operational functions I found myself responsible.
