AI RECOMMENDATIONS TO STRENGTHEN CV BASED ON CAREER GOALS
1. Improve CGPA [Critical]
Focus on core CS subjects (Networks, OS, Security) to raise CGPA from 5.5 to at least 6.5–7.0. Compensate aggressively with certifications and projects if CGPA cannot be raised significantly.
2. Earn Recognized Security Certifications [Critical]
Pursue CompTIA Security+ (industry baseline, globally recognized), followed by CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or eJPT (eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester). Practice on TryHackMe or Hack The Box and list rank/completed rooms on the CV.
3. Strengthen GitHub Projects [Important]
Flesh out GitHub repos with proper READMEs, screenshots, and documented test cases. Add a third, more complex project (e.g., network packet analyzer, SIEM log parser, or CTF writeup collection). Quantify impact where possible.
4. Participate in CTFs and Apply for Virtual Internships [Important]
Participate in CTF competitions (PicoCTF, CTFtime events) and add a “CTF Achievements” section to the CV. Apply for virtual internships (AICTE, Forage cybersecurity tracks). Contribute to open-source security tools on GitHub.
SELF ALLOCATED TASK TILL WEEK 10 OF THIS SEMESTER
Task 1: Complete TryHackMe beginner path
Task 2: Enroll in CompTIA Security+ preparation course
Task 3: Polish both GitHub project repositories with full documentation (README, screenshots, test cases)
Task 4: Participate in at least one CTF competition (e.g., PicoCTF or CTFtime event)
