Experience

Phlebotomy clinical experience- I did my clinical experience in Fort Worth. I got exposure to different situations as a phlebotomy student working with various people. I graduated from the Weatherford College Phlebotomy program in May of 2026, with a 4.0 GPA. I had a good Phlebotomy experience at the LabCorp in Fort Worth. I have had some clinical experience with Respiratory Care and with that, I know how to take vital signs and Patient Assessment from it.
Skills
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups per CLSI Guidelines
Emphasis on correct patient ID and labeling at the patient’s side
Trained in the collection of other specimens such as clean catch urine, nasal/throat swabs, drug screens, therapeutic phlebotomies
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Process and store specimen samples according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container with close attention to patient ID
Understand and comply with OSHA regulations
Performs POC and Waived Testing including Drug Screen, HCG, ESR, HCT, HGB, Blood Smear Prep, Occult Blood
Responsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct and the use of AIDET.
Check all test requisitions or computer label to ensure 100% correct
Demonstrates professional customer- service and ability to manage patient flow
Performs related clerical duties to include answering telephones, relaying messages, mailing or faxing of patient reports, unpacking supplies, and any other duties within their scope of training and education required by the laboratory supervisor.
