This entailed organizing and hosting meetings with other club boards, maintaining an open line of communication between clubs, facilitating marketing and funding, and planning large-scale events including CSO’s annual cultural event, Taste of the Caribbean.

● Assisted the President with weekly meetings and presiding over events. Acted as the point of contact for information regarding club activities, budgeting, and club promotion.

● Worked on the Ugly Feelings: Social and Emotional Learning Project that researches how educational and community interventions and SEL programs can be improved to fully address the mental health crisis faced by youth, especially Black and Brown youth. Created and led weekly lesson plans for seventh to eight grade students at Codman Academy, a local charter school, surrounding emotions that are often overlooked by common SEL programs and how to manage these “ugly feelings”.
