Lead Full Stack Developer-Java

Responsibilities:

Led a team of five engineers in designing, developing and delivering an application from the ground up, owning development from initial architecture through production delivery.

The solution integrated Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using Angular and Spring Security with Okta, providing a secure and seamless authentication experience.

Modernized the application using JAVA 21, Angular 20 features, including NgRx Signal Store solutions (with State, with Computed, with Methods), improved change detection patterns, standalone-friendly architecture, lazy loading, and dependency injection to build high-performance single-page and micro-frontend experiences.

I also incorporated AI prompt engineering into the development workflow by creating and refining prompts for code generation, test scaffolding, documentation, debugging, and solution design, improving developer productivity and accelerating delivery while maintaining code quality standards.

On the back end, I leveraged AWS services such as SQS for message processing and S3 for file storage to improve scalability and reliability, while building RESTful APIs to support internal and external integrations.

I optimized performance through Spring Cache, implemented multithreaded batch processes with Spring Batch, and scheduled background jobs with Spring Scheduler. On the front end, I developed responsive, accessible user interfaces using Angular, Vue.js, and Bootstrap, ensuring consistent UI/UX standards through reusable component libraries and compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements across screen sizes and platforms.

Additionally, I built microservices with Spring Boot, used modern Java features such as lambda expressions and streams for clean and efficient code, and ensured application quality through unit and integration testing.

I was also responsible for setting up CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments (with testing automation), validating GIS-related business rules for geospatial workflows, reviewing and debugging code, and driving development milestones to successful completion in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

I have used relational database (Oracle and Postgres) and non-relational database (ES) in implementing application in implementing complex queries and DB functions.

Used Kafka for message service in processing huge files in batches and migrated to SQS.

I utilized Bamboo to automate build and deployment processes and incorporated the Node Package Manager (NPM) along with Gulp and Bower for efficient front-end builds.

Technologies: JAVA 21, Angular 20, Typescript, Node.JS, Vue.JS, AWS(EC2, Lambda, SQS, S3, API gateway…),Docker, Bamboo(CI/CD), Kubernetes, Postgres, Oracle, KAFKA, OKTA (Authentication), Spring Boot, Spring cache, Spring security, Swagger, Splunk, Liquibase, GIS (Geometric validations), JSON, XML, Tomcat, JQuery

General Motors., Roswell, GA March 2017– December 2017

Sr Full Stack Developer-Java

Responsibilities:

Developed a Geo locator and full-text search platform using the NoSQL Elasticsearch engine, which significantly improved search speed.

It brought interactive and accessible UI that enhanced user experience and satisfaction. On the front end, I used Angular, Rx JS and Bootstrap to create a responsive web page for the web service resulting in 25% increase in user engagement.

I have built reusable angular components, services and modules for code maintainability and scalability.

I built form driven interfaces using reactive forms for dynamic validation logic.

For continuous integration, I utilized Jenkins to automate build and deployment processes and incorporated the Node Package Manager (NPM) along with Gulp and Bower for efficient front-end builds.

I also implemented Angular controllers, directives, and services to consume Java servlets, ensuring smooth interaction between the frontend and backend.

I created APIs for performing CRUD operations on both Elasticsearch and SQL databases and implemented Spring Batch to perform daily UPSERT of data from the SQL database to Elasticsearch.

To ensure secure handling of sensitive information, I used Jaspyr encryption to encrypt credentials and passwords within the application.

Since the web service does not require cookies or session identifiers, I utilized Spring Basic Authentication (base64 encoding) for user authentication.

For testing, I used Groovy in SoapUI to test the new web services against the legacy system’s components.

Developed both RESTful and SOAP-based web services to support different integration needs.

Leveraging Java 8 APIs, including Lambda expressions and Streams, I wrote efficient and concise code.

I also handled serialization and deserialization of XML and JSON data to and from different objects and implemented unit tests using JUnit for Java.

To develop the application architecture, I used Spring Boot to build microservices for individual parts of the system, making the application more modular and maintainable. Additionally, I employed a JAXB marshaller to provide both XML and JSON responses through the same REST service.

Technologies: JAVA17, Angular, Node.JS, Bamboo (CI/CD), Elastic search (NoSQL), Oracle, KAFKA, Spring Boot, Spring security, Kibana, JSON, Jasmine

Great West Financial., Denver, CO April 2016– February 2017

Full Stack Developer-Java

Responsibilities:

Played an active role in requirement gathering and technical design discussions for the server-side implementation, contributing to the creation of the Technical Design Document.

I was deeply involved in designing modules using various enterprise design patterns and applying Web 2.0 techniques on the UI with AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Developed an AJAX-based web UI framework using AngularJS and facilitated data transfer between the server and client using JSON and XML formats.

Hibernate was used for database connectivity, and I leveraged core Java fundamentals to create utility classes, comparators, generics, collections, and abstract classes.

I also implemented a custom exception-handling class for improved reusability within the project.
