Experience
Site Manager – Compass Communities
Lead a small staff team of maintenance staff, as well as contractors, to provide all required services to support individuals living in an all-inclusive environment. Assist in operating the community in accordance with Compass standards to establish and maintain the community rules and regulations. Enter rent payments into the Rent Manager system and reconcile and process bank deposits. Review accounts receivable and maintain collections efficiency. Collect lot rent with the objective of managing and achieving a zero balance in AR. Meet and work with contractors/vendors when needed and ensure all jobs are started and completed within deadlines. Assist with inspecting common areas and all infrastructure, including roads, landscaping, tree service, waste management and Community utility systems, to ensure they are maintained and working effectively while eliminating any potential hazards. Assist with filing fire safety documents and inspecting all fire safety systems biannually or when required. Supporting the tenant's daily requirements and ensuring staff procedures and policies are in place to support the daily operations. Accountable for the performance and operation of a 244-site residence. Manage day-to-day operations and ensure tenant and operational requirements are met. Including all safety and regulatory compliance, resident families, and community stakeholders.
Facilities Manager – The Bentley Saskatoon
Lead a small staff team of housekeeping and maintenance staff, as well as contractors, to provide all required services to support individuals living in an all-inclusive environment. Supporting the tenant's daily requirements and ensuring staff procedures and policies are in place to support the daily operations. Accountable for the performance and operation of a 128-suite residence. Work with the ED and Lifestyle manager to manage day-to-day operations and ensure tenant and operational requirements are met. Including all safety and regulatory compliance, resident families, and community stakeholders.
Facilities Manager – Elmwood Residences, Saskatoon
Lead a small staff team and contractors and be responsible for all aspects of the Elmwood Residences operations; tenant daily requirements, procedures, policies, and best practices to advance the daily operations. Accountable for the performance and operation of 17 residences and Kinsman Manor. Work with CHC and manage day-to-day operations and ensuring the tenant requirements are met, and all housing and operational requirements are met. Including government and regulatory compliance, resident families, and various community stakeholders, as well as service levels and safety requirements.
House Manager – Abbeyfield House, Saskatoon
Lead the staff team and am responsible for all aspects of the Abbeyfield House operations, tenant daily requirements, procedures, policies, and best practices to advance the daily operations. Responsible for the performance of all staff members. Work with the board of directors and multiple volunteer committees. Manage day-to-day operations and ensure that the tenant requirements are met and all housing and operational requirements are met. Including government and regulatory compliance, resident families, and various community stakeholders, as well as service levels and sales requirements, including social media and website updates. Act as public spokesperson for the organization, as well as serving as board president. Manage organizational financial records for funding partners and sponsors. Achievements included recruiting staff to move operations forward and return financial operations from a deficit to a breakeven situation within 6 months. Currently actively seeking twenty million dollars in funding for new building development.
Executive Director - Skills Canada Saskatchewan
Led and was responsible for all aspects of the Skills Canada Saskatchewan operations, bylaws, procedures, policies, and best practices to advance the organizational mission. Responsible for the performance of all staff members. Work with the board of directors and multiple volunteer committees. Seek monetary and in-kind funding. Serve as the liaison to allied organizations. Manage day-to-day operations and programming, outreach initiatives, social media, and website updates. Act as public spokesperson for the organization. Manage organizational financial records as well as submit and prepare reporting for funding partners and sponsors. Achievements included recruiting staff to move operations forward, renewing the website and social media, re-establishing competition for 2023, rebranding and reconnecting with sponsors, industry, and supporters after years of no live events and financial challenges. Secured more than half a million dollars in funding.
Senior Property Manager - Elite Property Management
Senior condominium property manager responsible for ongoing maintenance and daily operational requirements, and inspections of assigned properties with more than 600 doors. Administer full financial accountability, meeting legislative requirements and governance support for each property Condominium Board. Support other property managers with insurance claim management and inspections, plus on-call rotations. Achievements while at this company included managing and supporting more than 11 individual boards and successfully managing budgets and all maintenance and insurance claims. While supporting colleagues with other properties and operational challenges.
