Summary
• My degree is in education. I had not even completed school when a principal that I
knew approached me with a project. He wanted me to be the director of an Infant
Toddler center that the stakeholders wanted to build in the High School. I not only
drew plans for the center, but I hired and trained all the employees and ordered
equipment and made home visits to the teen parents that needed the facility. I
contacted DHS and was not only licensed but we received the HIGHLY Qualified
approval from the state! I wrote grants and continued the program through
kindergarten age. I was nominated as Early Childhood Professional for the State!
• I moved to Alaska for a couple of years after I completely got my parents prepared to
sell their home and moved them into an assisted living facility. My father past away
last November. After I completed teaching, I moved to North Carolina. My oldest
daughter and her family live in Wake Forest, my mother is moving there and my
youngest daughter and her husband are now in the process of moving to Charlotte. I
am now living in Raleigh and so excited about moving close to all my family!
