Due to my prior experience with Lens Lab, I was recruited to manage business operations at the flagship store for this established

eye care company that provides a full range of ophthalmic services as well as sales of upscale eyeglasses and accessories

at fifteen eye care centers throughout the New York City area.

Practice Manager

• Supervise a staff of 8 in the medical practice and 4 in the retail eyeglass center and oversee a diversity of daily

business functions and services provided by this company.

• Hire, train, mentor and evaluate support staff and ensure their continual training on all aspects of business operations.

• Verify customer insurance coverage, collect co-pays, discuss payment plans where needed and prepare customer billing.

• Attend manufacturer’s training programs to learn about new products, and attend the annual Vision Expo to gain insight

on new emerging industry trends and to evaluate new products coming on stream.

• Maintain all office equipment, monitor inventory and negotiate with vendors to purchase supplies and equipment.

• Educate customers on care and application of contact lenses and order contact lenses from suppliers.

• Oversee weekly payroll; tally each employee’s time sheet and submit data to a payroll service for processing.

• Participate with new store startup and openings; organize special promotional events for stores.

• Personally sell eyeglasses and accessories to customers; ensure their total satisfaction with all services provided.

• Manage any escalated customer issues to equitable resolution; ensure the highest level of courteous, efficient

and professional customer service to all clients.

• Represent the company in any legal matters; testified in court on several cases.
