PROFILE
Textile Designer with a research-driven and concept-led approach to surface, material and textile development. Experienced in translating visual research and traditional textile techniques into contemporary textile applications through experimentation, motif development, surface manipulation and sampling. Working within an artisan-led environment and gaining exposure to shibori, natural dyeing, weaving and craft-based product development. Avani Earthcraft Kumaon, Uttarakhand
• Designed 60+ product illustrations for the studio's textile and craft-based product range
• Developed placement and repeat layouts for products, considering motif spacing and dye behaviour
• Carried out shibori experimentation, motif development and sampling as part of ongoing surface design work
• Conducted natural dye trials and recorded fibre and dye absorption observations across sample batches
• Gained hands-on exposure to weaving and natural dyeing processes, working closely alongside resident artisans in an artisan-led production environment
• Designed logos, posters and flyers for Avani-affiliated communication needs, including creative material for Abhivyakti School
