Technology Lead for Verizon, JCI Controls
2019 Aug to 2025 Oct
Projects:
Project Title: JCI Controls - Datasource - BOA Dashboard/ Fire Enrollment
Duration: From April 2025 to Oct 2025
The Datasource application was an application for security / Fire customers which has a dashboard for service management, alarm from the devices, and customer management. It allows customer management such as user management, enrolling new accounts etc. the application is hosted in IBM WebSphere with portlets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
●Design and implement databases enhancement and their PL/SQL package development
●Understanding new UI/ Backend / db requirement and implementing new features of fire enrollment design, its database new objects, create packages, triggers etc.
●Working closely with backend REST APIs and UI React pages with JSP pages.
Project Title: JCI Controls - Peoplesoft SG timesheet
Duration: From July 2025 to April 2025
Supported a Peoplesoft-based timesheet application used to capture regular, overtime and double time horse for union/non-union fire employees, Built and maintained data ingestion and integration of workflows from multiple sources, including HR employee data, kronos payroll timesheets, Fusion contract and branch data, Peoplesoft benefits and fringes and OneSpan e-signatures. Integrated and processed these datasets through DE audit logic to determine payroll eligibility. Generated CPPW payroll reports(Excel/PDF) with net pay, gross pay, taxes and fringe deductions by branch and delivered them to Fusion and Axway for downstream reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities:
●Understanding business logic for union / non-union employees work hours, deductions such as federal/state/fringes that is applicable for certified payroll generation with the clients
●Implemented them into calculations in different stages of PL/SQL package developments. Then it was generated into pdf with Java process convert to pdf.
Project Title: Verizon INMS VPNS
Duration: From May 2025 to June 2025
INMS is topology-based alarm correlation engine that enables customer-centric network management across all network domains at converged NextGen NOCs by identifying root-cause failures across multiple network domains. Integrated with impact applications, INMS (S2i) supports real-time monitoring for Network Operations Centers and enables rapid issue resolution for internal lines of business (VZT, VZB). VPNS ingests network inventory data (equipment and circuit data) from external systems such as Nautilus via a topology loader and persists it in topology databases for downstream processing. Alarms are also received from systems including UCS and BNC. Inter-system messaging is handled through VMB to ensure high availability of Verizon Package Network services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
●Development of source data client application through VMB whose messaging was through TCP sockets (in JAVA). VMB was under the Pulsar backend instead of Kafka. The application both had Pulsar producers and Consumer in the applications.
●Key technologies used are Java 1.8, ANT, Shell Scripts, SQL, HTML changes.
●Tools used Eclipse ICE 4.24, Gitlab, qTest, jenkins, Confluence, UNIX server, WinSCP, PuTTy, MT PuTTy fixes of topology loader, correlation engine rules etc.
Project Title: Verizon Netcool Project
Duration: From July 2020 to June 2021
Designed a Big Data-driven fault-management data flow using Netcool Enrichment to replace the legacy Looper system for NextGen BGW provisioning. Implemented Ingestion of network inventory data from ICON, event generation (AID), and real-time alarm enrichment for Cisco and Ciena devices. Normalized and transformed Layer-2 Netcool XO alarm datasets, built provisioning-key logic and enhanced alarm processing to support automated provisioning and scalable fault management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
●Developed and maintained PL/SQL stored procs to generate AID events for network devices, enabling automated provisioning and fault management workflows.
●Implemented data extraction and processing logic using PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripts to integrate network inventory data from the ICON database into the Netcool enrichment pipeline.
●Worked in UNIX server environment, using tools such as WinSCP, PuTTY, MT PuTTY and source like ICON db for deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of batch and even-driven processes.
●Enhanced and fixed topology loader components to ensure accurate ingestion and normalization of network topology data.
●Updated and tuned correlation engine rules to improve alarm enrichment, reduce noise and support reliable BGW provisioning and fault management.
Project Title: Verizon EZStatus
Duration: From May 2020 to June 2020
The project was getting Telecom Ordering data from various telecom data, voice etc. product’s ordering systems sources (majority in oracle db). Then it provides tracking, status of the ordering system till the order is activated.
Roles and Responsibilities:
●Maintenance and debugging of Procedure, Packages for trouble tickets.
●Batch loading of the flat files, UNIX shell script debugging for loading, alert of the flat files, XML.
Project Title: Verizon UCP (User Customer Profiling)
Duration: From August 2019 to April 2020
The project was about data aggregation from various telecom sources, mapping into a unified views of data for the clients showing subscribed products details.
Roles and Responsibilities:
●Integrated data from multiple telecom data sources and implemented data virtualization using K2View including data modeling, mapping and deployment. The input sources were Oracle DB, Cassandra, APIs.
The K2View platform allowed real-time, unified views of data per business entity across many systems without physically moving all the data.
