ADAM BROWN

PROFILE

Raised on a tobacco farm in eastern Ky. I worked it with my family from the

time I was 6 to the time I turned 16 when I was able to go out and get a job on my own. Worked Kroger, fast food and things like that till I turned 18 when Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita hit the gulf. I got a job with KBR/TFR Enterprises in New Orleans, belle chase air force base, lake Charles, and the Florida keys running skid steers and excavators. Mostly on the navy bases in the keys and the air force base in belle chase. After the contracts were up I went home and went to work in Florida with Fki logistics doing layout work, running equipment, and erecting a steel mezzanine for fed ex distribution center. Following that I worked for Balfour Beatty/national bridge building company on the I270/161 highway project in Westerville Ohio pouring and form setting concrete structures. Slabs, footings, pier caps, retaining walls, approach slabs, decking bridges, tunnels, and some rebar work. After that I spent some years working on wastewater management systems for w Rogers. Setting forms for slabs for cylindrical wastewater tanks, also running front end loader and excavator. Did heavy highway for a while doing overlays on interstate bridges. Ran a bid well machine and was carpenter. Worked few years as an electrician tech for sci/tn-tech. We worked in courthouses, airports, hospitals, and prisons tearing out all the old systems that were pre- existing and replaced them. Top to bottom pulled old wire ran new, all old electronics, speakers, door locks, lights, cameras, microwave detectors, perimeter fence sensors, ripped out old panels and motherboards rebuilt and replaced. After COVID hit they took a break from work as they lost most contracts due to the nature of the work, so I went to work for Dugan meyers as a carpenter/operator. We worked on a wastewater management plant and a bourbon distillery. Form setting, running equipment, some layout, pipefitting, moving massive machinery in to very hard to reach places, and industrial plumbing. I have also filled the gaps with finding my own side projects that range from carpentry, equipment operation, setting up above ground pools, and cooking. I have had other jobs in hospitality but this has been the bulk of my work experience
