• Call patients from waiting room and do a screening / intake for Nurses.

• Verified that the driver is present and gave the driver instructions to Gl pick up area or valet. If driver is not present, called to verify that driver is coming to pick up.

• Give patient instruction on proper dressing for all procedure. o Patients are instructed to undress and put on patient gown with opening in the back and to leave the gown untied in the back, (for upper endoscopy, undress above waist; for colonoscopy or TURN, undress completely, but they can keep the socks on)

• Assisted with Quality Control for urine pregnancy test and glucometer daily.

• When rooming patients, please make sure the driver is present and please give driver instructions to Gl pick up. If driver parked at valet parking or handicap parking, no need to give instructions to Gl pick up. If driver is not present, please call to verify that driver is coming to pick up.

• Connect and disconnect patients from monitor before and after procedure. (Blood Pressure cuffs, EKG Leads, and Pulse Oximeter)

• Strip and sanitize gurneys and remake with clean linens.

• Sanitize the monitor wires after every use.

• Prepare patient belonging bags with clean linens for gurney.

• Check and stock the supplies (i.e. gloves, electrodes, IV bags)

• Wheel patients out to GI pick up or valet parking when patients are ready to leave the department.

• Check patients arm band and make sure patients have correct discharge summary before leaving the department.

• Aid in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Nurses.

• Interviews patients and measure vital signs and other pertinent information as required by department.

• Shadowed nurses while they record information in patient's medical record.

• Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination.

• Replenishes medical supplies and materials.

• Performs routine urine tests as required by department.

• Cleaning, sterilizing, and checking beds multiple times a day.

• Performs other related duties, as necessary.
