• Analyzed a nationally representative sample of 27,293 adults to evaluate whether health insurance coverage was associated with not obtaining needed prescription medication because of cost.

• Used SAS to clean and recode survey variables, create analysis-ready data, generate descriptive tables, assess distributions, conduct inferential analyses, and build unadjusted and adjusted logistic regression models.

• Reported odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals; found that uninsured adults had 2.46 times the adjusted odds of experiencing the medication cost barrier compared with insured adults.

Diabetes in New Jersey Adults: Burden, Disparities, and Trends Tableau
