I was the victim of domestic violence who ended up representing themselves in their own complex divorce case and assisting the district attorney’s office in said case. In representing myself, I learned on my own how to properly format legal documents, submit legal documents, present proof/evidence in front of a judge, etc. I also had to engage professionally with the opposing counsel, while difficult to do, at times. I also worked as an independent contractor doing “legal administrative” type duties for local attorneys. Examples of work completed include scheduling, documentation review, filing documentation, billing, and other general administrative duties Also, I gained extensive knowledge of the Clio program while in this role.

I worked primarily in customer service and data entry from home. Responsibilities included answering calls, documenting calls and directing to appropriate parties, scheduling services, billing, discussing benefits, and data entry. Many of the positions were within the healthcare field. This typically required the ability to navigate multiple programs simultaneously while exhibiting excellent customer service alongside accurate documentation of data.

Responsibilities included training new and current staff, scheduling new hire orientation and other trainings, performing internal audits to ensure the agency is within DPW and accreditation standards, collecting and tracking residential and agency data. In addition, I also sat in on several committees and volunteered for many agency fundraising events and activities. My duties at Glade Run Lutheran Services included caring for the daily needs of youth within the care of mental health services. I later became a Case Manager for Glade Run’s Wraparound department where I was responsible for insurance verification and quality assurance of all client intake paperwork. I also have extensive experience with EMR programs.
