PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY:
Experienced RN BSN VACC certified, licensed in PA & OH with strong clinical and people skills. Responsible with excellent communication skills demonstrated by 29 years of experience in healthcare. Highly motivated, detailed oriented, and energetic RN with years in critical care, emergency department, education, and vascular accesses. Driven to improve patient care, through education of staff, and my own self-directed continuing education. Given the task of rebuilding my hospital’s vascular access program 7 years ago. I have grown it into a skilled and committed team. I have accomplished changing all of our products over to BARD within the first year by collecting data and statistics showing the benefit to our patients through trials. I am a multitasker and problem solver, continuously bringing in new products through research trials. I have also brought Allpoints into our hospital, changing our entire way of care of lines through bundles, and most recently, added Accucath to our products. I am self-driven and conscientious of all I do, and I am ready to make a change in my career path.
EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:
In my time as a RN BSN in the Butler Heath System, I have developed patient care plans, including assessments, evaluations, and nursing diagnoses. I have also supported patients with customized patient teaching tools. Additionally, I have delegated staff nurse duties, achieved departmental goals and objectives by instituting new processes and standards for impatient care, participated in a unit-based Quality Assurance Program, and ensured efficacy of treatments through monitoring of treatment regimens. I have provided treatment within scope of practice as defined by state law, and have been frequently commended for maintaining safety, respect, and dignity of residents. I have prepared for HIPAA and JCAHO reviews, ensuring required brochures and pamphlets were available to patients in all clinics. I have also maintained all confidential personnel files, licensing, and CPR compliance records. I always educate patients about their treatments and serve as a liaison between patients and physicians to assist patients in understanding their treatment plans. I have coordinated Quality Improvement Activities (QIA’s) to identify performance areas for improvement, and have processed monthly reports for departmental performance.
