My goal is to secure full-time employment as well as to have the opportunity for advancement in the environmental industry or field directly related to the environmental industry. Since March, 2005, I have been employed in the environmental industry. Currently, I am owner of my own environmentally friendly housekeeping services, however, prior to that and for 12 years, I was employed with the City of Springfield Department of Environmental Services (previously Solid Waste Management Division). Throughout my years of service with the City of Springfield, I was in charge of numerous aspects of my department, to include but not limited to: purchases to include customized promotional products, educational material, office furniture, meeting room supplies, etc; upholding good relationships with vendors/suppliers; display set-up for various community and educational events; graphic design and fabrication of multiple advertising pieces for events, presentations and my department as a whole. Graphic Design / Marketing / Promotion
Development, design and preparation of various advertising for the City of Springfield Department of Environmental Services for displays, booths, events, banners, magazines, journals, as well as paid advertising for publications such as Ozarks Living Magazine (formerly Greene Magazine), Springfield Business Journal and other various advertising outlets. Development, design, preparation and implementation of various marketing and promotional materials for children to include bookmarks, labels, coloring sheets and more. Purchasing of promotional materials to include research, knowledge and special considerations for environmentally friendly items to be used in the promotion of the City of Springfield education programs. Development, design and preparation of various print materials used for and by the City of Springfield Department of Environmental Services for promotional and educational purposes to include, but not limited to: handouts, brochures, post cards, labels, letterheads, and binders. Development, design and upkeep of various directories, databases, reports and newsletters for the City of Springfield Department of Environmental Services such as the Environmental/Conservation Education Directory, dashboards for fiscal year reporting, semi-annual newsletters for Choose Environmental Excellence, annual reports and other promotional/marketing materials as needed. Assisted with planning, development and implementation of the City of Springfield’s Department of Environmental Services Environmental/Conservation Education and Information program through: Environmental/Conservation based educational activities, facility tours and presentations to the community to include private and public schools, churches and civic groups, businesses and more. Development, design and distribution of information for the City of Springfield Department of Environmental Services, including: Clean Water Services, Air Quality and engaging team player and leader able to inspire staff to perform their best.
