Lead several key projects for Merck over 25 years. The projects were in Processing and Packaging to bring new products to Market generating millions of dollars in sales for Merck.
Supported Merck global sites in improving OEE in the Packaging operations. The OEE improved from 25% to 40% by evaluating line management, operations line personal, equipment improvements, and component modifications.
Was a key contributor in selection of Packaging equipment. The value of the equipment ranged from a few thousand to several millions of dollars. Work with many key suppliers Optima, Bausch and Stroebel, Marchesini, Groninger, Weiler Uhlmann and many other.
Contracted for Merck for 2 years in the bio-operations where I improve the DI and WFI water supply, made improvements to the Still, Reverse Osmosis process, break tanks, pumps, and supply lines.
Pod Engineer

Pod engineer for liquids, managed 6 mechanics in line PM’s, day to day operation, purchasing parts, cleaning, and changeovers. Improved line changeovers time by 15 to 30 minutes depending on the line complexity. It was accomplished by providing line changeover carts and eliminating unnecessary walking to change parts cabinets and back to the line.
Installed 8 new epoxy floors and drains under the equipment to allow CIP and capture the liquid and take the liquid away by the drains, improved cleaning time on the lines.
Purchased and installed a liquid filler that produced 120 filled bottles/minute on time and with budget

Worked on various project s both in process and packaging equipment.
Developed the candy bar Symphony manufacturing process, consisted of 14 pumps, hundreds of feet of SS jacketed piping, 6 tanks, and at the time the first fully automated computerized process system for Hershey
Received a patent for the development for removing licorice from broads to eliminate the EHS issues with manually removing the product
