Claims can be submitted either by In-Network or Out of Network Provider. Magellan also administers the Place of Sale (POS) system to process the Prior Authorization request.

MRx Auth uses mainly three different applications.

Provider/Web Portal (Get an Auth) - External users.

Providers use this application to submit the authorizations for Clinical review and approvals

MRx Auth (Call Center portal) – Internal users

Magellan call center employees use this application to receive Prior Authorization request for the drugs covered of Magellan Program either from providers or Members.

Request can be initiated by Telephone, Fax, Email, Letter, Web or Claim

Case Logix

This application is used to define the clinical algorithm for each and every managed drug and retro rules.
