Primarily investigate the health and safety of children under the age of 18 years of age.
Placing of children after regular work hours with approved, certified foster homes. During regular office hours between 8 am and 4:30 pm, the children would be taken back to the State Office.
Communicate with Judges in Bossier Parish and Caddo Parish to receive an order from a Judge once the supervisor assesses the situation with the worker to determine the removal of a child or children.
Prepare Court-ordered Safety Plans, Court Affidavit, Present Danger, and Impending Danger Safety Plans.
Attend each Court Hearing scheduled by the Judge. Be Prepared for Testifying in Court. Prepare Form 10 for the District Attorney and a discovery package. Input the Case file and documentation of evidence to close a case.
Continuous training throughout the year, work emergencies with the State, like flooding, hurricane, or tornado, including Shelters in the State and DSNAP programs, which provide Food Stamps for needy families in a crisis.
