Professional Experience
Airswift, La Porte Tx
Sr. Lead Piping Designer at Oxy Chem La Porte (September 2024 – March 2026) Lead piping design for capital projects group, including the replacement of LTC Reactor and Deaerator systems, with budgets ranging from $8M to $15M. Developed piping isometrics using CadWorx and performed detailed revisions and markups using Bluebeam to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
• Drafted piping plans, sections, details, and isometrics with material takeoffs using CadWorx, laser scanning, and AutoCAD (P&IDs). Conducted extensive field investigations at owner-operator plants to verify constructable, unobstructed pipe routing. Supported FEL and detailed design phases, including cost estimating and tracking engineering/drafting hours.
Kelly Group, Orange Tx
Sr. Lead Piping Designer \ Piping Specifications Lead (August 2021 – September 2024) Lead piping design efforts on projects ranging from $300K to $15M at the Dow SRO site using S3D application. Spearheaded the conversion of over 1,700 DuPont piping specifications to Dow standards, collaborating with multiple units at the Orange at the SRO site to standardize piping specifications across all projects.
• Detailed piping design using S3D and Bluebeam on upgrading the plant system that was over 30 yrs old. This work included all replacing piping and included condensate recovery system to be recycled back into the steam system.
• Managed a team of up to 10 piping designers, overseeing project execution and ensuring quality and efficiency in design deliverables. Provided detailed piping design support using S3D, Bluebeam and, as Senior Lead Piping Designer, was responsible for reviewing and approving all piping deliverables before IFC issue.
• Directed the development and management of FEL packages, ensuring accurate and complete scope definition before moving to detailed design.
