Duties: Started as a part-time/on-call driver delivering payroll checks to ADP clients throughout the Valley.
In March of 1994 was hired as a permanent Driver filling in for all drivers when they were on vacation. This gave me a thorough knowledge of the entire Phoenix Metro area from Buckeye to Gold Canyon and Cave Creek to Queen Creek. In 1995 - promoted to Senior Driver, given my own route and was delivering approximately 300 deliveries weekly in Tempe. Upon completion of my daily route, I delivered “specials/hot payrolls” to many outlying cities within the state of Arizona. At the time I was driving an estimated 35,000 miles per annum – with no accidents.
In 2001 was promoted to Dispatcher, in 2005 promoted to Traffic Support Specialist, and in 2012 promoted to Traffic Supervisor. Was responsible for all fifteen metro-Phoenix delivery drivers – establishing their routes, scheduling hours, performance evaluations, and vehicle maintenance. Nominated as Employee of the Quarter on three separate occasions.
During the last 3 years of my employment with ADP – the company made the decision to outsource all payroll deliveries to local couriers. All drivers were terminated. I was appointed as ‘the last man standing’ and was retained as a Delivery “Customer Service” Dispatcher. I answered client calls from the entire nation – working with local and national delivery companies and their drivers to provide delivery times to clients for their ADP payroll deliveries. Retired after 25 years from ADP in October of 2018.
